SUMMARY:CtHIMA Webinar presented by Jen Cox
DESCRIPTION:We are offering a seminar series focused on the new 21st Century Cures Act regulations that drastically change the requirements for the release of information by healthcare providers.  The three-part series will cover major portions of two sets of regulations: the CMS Interoperability and Patient Access final rule and the ONC Interoperability\, Information Blocking\, and the Office of the National Coordinator Health IT Certification Program final rule. \nThe seminars will be held by Zoom remote meeting\, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the first three Wednesdays in March (March 3\, March 10\, and March 17).  Participants are strongly encouraged to attend at all three sessions (in order). The programs will be recorded and will be made available to attendees\, along with copies of the presentations\, after the sessions are completed.  Live participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the programs. \nThese new rules represent the most comprehensive set of changes affecting medical record professionals since HIPAA Privacy started in 2003\, and will require review and updating of many HIPAA policies and procedures. Deadlines for compliance occur as soon as April 5\, 2021.  All healthcare workforce members with a role in record release\, privacy & security\, or IT compliance will need to be familiar with the key elements of these new rules. \nOur speaker for all three sessions is Jennifer Cox\, J.D.\, from Hartford’s Cox & Osowiecki\, LLC. \nThe cost for this Series is $65.00\, We will be giving 4 CEU’s at the end of the series which will be emailed to those who attended.  \nYou must register and pay prior to the first date of the Series to receive the additional link to be able to sign on for each Webinar.  \nIf you have any questions please contact Tara Katynski at 203-812-9783 or administrator@cthima.org \nRegister Now! \n
