She will further discuss the Office’s enforcement work and key takeaways from recent cases as well as highlight a few trends that the Office is seeing in terms of data breaches. \n10:00 – 11:00     Social Determinants of Heath\, HCCs and Z-Codes \nPresenter: Phil Goyeau\, 3M HIS Represent Social Determinants of Health have become increasingly important in terms of value-based care and have become a high priority for payers and government entities.  Z-codes are used to capture data on the social needs of their patient population which identify non-medical factors that can have a profound impact on the well-being of your patient population.  While HCCs will continue to be the foundation for population health-based reimbursement\, new approaches to Health Equity have driven added coding requirements around Z-codes. \nThis session will:\n 1.      Review Social Determinants of Health and how factors such as health literacy\, inadequate housing and inequalities in accessibility to health care can drive poor patient outcomes.\n 2.      Revisit HCCs as the foundation not only managing patient’s chronic disease burdens and how providers are reimbursed to care for these populations.\n 3.      Cover Z-codes which are the ICD-10 encounter reason codes used to document Social Determinants of Health data.\n 4.      Discuss changes in technology and artificial intelligence being developed to adapt to changes in coding \n11:00 – 12:00     CAC Technology Update: From NLP to Machine Learning and Autonomous Coding and the Future of CAC as a Collaboration Platform. \n Presenter:  Matt Turner\, National Account Manager with Dolbey Systems Inc. \nThis session will discuss the evolution of computer assisted coding (CAC) from natural language processing (NLP) to machine learning (ML) and the current transition into autonomous coding. We’ll review how this technology evolution improved the overall performance and the current limitations of autonomous coding.\nOnce we update you on the underlying technologies\, we will focus on the growth of CAC beyond its original role as a coder productivity tool. While code suggestion and coder productivity are still at its core\, CAC solutions are expanding to be comprehensive\, single platform collaboration solutions. Solutions that can bring CDI\, Coding\, Quality\, Auditing and Denials Management together to provide efficient sharing of information and results as well as providing unparalleled access to data and reporting. \n12:00 – 1:00       Challenges For Using Data To Combat Healthcare Disparities \nPresenter: Jennifer Cox JD\, Cox & Osowiecki \nThe program will provide an overview of the key challenges involved in addressing healthcare disparities through data collection and analysis. The program will cover: \n*   The role of social influencers of health  \n*   Use of data for population health compared with individual         health \n*   Working with community-based\, non-healthcare         organizations\, including privacy and security considerations \n*   Challenges to standardizing data collection and analysis \nHIPAA Lightning Round.
