We’ll explore the benefits and limitations of AI, including risks related to bias, data quality, and over‑reliance on automated tools. Participants will also learn a practical responsible‑use framework that supports safe, ethical, and effective AI adoption in healthcare settings.

Bio: Dr. Nicole Copemann, RHIA, CPC, CAPM is a tenured, full-time faculty member at a college in Florida, serving as the Health Information Technology Associate Degree and Coding Certificate Program Manager, and has over 10 years of experience in higher education, specializing in online instruction and course development. Before transitioning into higher education full-time, Dr. Copemann held multiple roles in Health Information Management (HIM), including Senior Hospital Coding Specialist and Revenue Integrity Analyst.
