Evolution of query workflows:
Computer Assisted Physician Documentation (CAPD) and advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Query workflows require a delicate balance. We must be mindful of physician burnout and administrative burdens, while also addressing ever-increasing demands for documentation that is complete and compliant, supports financial and quality goals, and mitigates the risk of denials due to stringent payer rules.

In this session, we will discuss how today’s CDI and coding teams are using AI to automatically deliver clinical intelligence into physicians’ documentation workflows. We will discuss AI-powered CAPD nudges and how that insight can help CDI teams follow up on additional opportunities. We will examine industry guidelines around content and templates as well as delivery and response methods. We will also share best practices on workflow and how reporting is key to managing change and driving ongoing improvement.
